Build a 100% Self-Sufficient Children’s Home
Children’s Homes | 100% Self Sufficient | Zero Carbon Footprint

The vision at the heart of Project O is to fully support orphans by any means necessary. To that end, we have developed a ‘model’ unique to Project O that will become known as ‘100% self sufficient children’s homes’.
The model includes the provision of a 1st class education in previously exclusively white schools. Through its unique nature it is hoped that the model will see ‘Project O’ become a familiar name the world over known for its standard of excellence. Our original plan was to build low cost standard houses similar to the others in this area. However, out planning team has come to the conclusion that although these homes solve a single problem the very process of creating these homes in turn creates many, many more.
After years of deliberation the team at Project O concluded that they needed to come up with a new angle of attack, if that meant ‘reinventing the wheel’ so to speak, then that is exactly what would be needed in tackling the issue of providing aid for the unprecedented number of orphans.
The Project O model is the first of its kind. (Download the leaflet)
It is…
- Revolutionary
- Cutting Edge
- Unique
- Innovative
- Marketable
- The future of global orphan support
Although this could be considered a somewhat arrogant statement, keep reading on, and see the proof of how achievable this is:
- The house is in keeping with African tradition with its oval shape and thatch roof - Aesthetically beautiful
- Technologically innovative taking full advantage of solar power and wind power!
- Each house is structurally sound, Project O uses the very best materials on the market on the premise that ‘you get what you pay for’. The materials may sometimes be the most expensive but in the long run it is worth it. Each house that is built will be a permanent fixture on the African horizon. It is expected to last a minimum of 100 years.
- World class education (see above)
- Revenue generation project providing economic independence (contact us for details).
- Recycling of all household products
- Organic vegetable farms providing our own food source
- Local employment/empowerment
- Homes located within the tribal/local community - children are not relocated to the suburbs.
- Focus on keeping siblings together.
- Use of revolutionary methods for cooking/heating. (contributing to low /zero carbon footprint, fuels such as propane/paraffin are not used, organic waste is composted, waste materials are not burned;
All of this is achieved and within the AIDS capital of the world, a place where the need could not be more desperate.
